We had a little kitchen when Travis was about 3. What a MESS. The plastic food was everywhere and I was constantly pirating stuff to the trash can. It was fun for about a month, and then the only time he wanted to play with it was when a friend was over and then they'd fight over it. I got rid of it, kept quite a few of the plastic dishes and stuff, though. Tyler would probably love a kitchen, but I'm not going to go there again.

I think it is a rite of passage as a parent that you go through the play-kitchen phase. And, with a girl, your kids might actually enjoy it more than mine.
