About Us
Jan 31st 2006
Me: I am a woman after God’s own heart - sometimes taking the scenic route. I work part time but am mostly a stay at home mom and it is the best and worst job I’ve ever had. I blog because it feels it good - it’s free therapy and I enjoy reading what I was feeling “back when”. Journaling is something I did a lot of in high school and I wish I had captured more of my thoughts over the last 10 years. Here is a place where I am honest and when my honesty is too personal, it is password protected!
Daddy-O: The first person I want to call when something incredible happens or my world comes crashing down. He is my best friend and husband of 8 years. I didn’t know I could love him more until I saw him interacting with our children and until I heard him praying with and singing to them. He is a Godly man who believes in doing “the right thing” even when no one is looking.
Nathan “Speedy”: Even writing his name brings a smile to face. He is four years and 5 months old and has more energy than anyone I’ve met in a long time. He is constant entertainment and incredibly sweet natured. Speedy moved in with us on February 5, 2006, as our foster son and we finalized his adoption on February 27, 2007. He smile is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen and his hugs warm my heart.
Emma “Princess”: She is such a little stinker! Princess is 2 years and 7 months old and has her brother’s smile and happy go lucky outlook. Her favorite thing in the world is to watch Speedy doing ANYTHING and to do everything HERSELF! Princess is Speedy’s full sister and we brought her home from the hospital on February 10, 2006, weighing in at just over 5lbs when she was just two weeks old.
Baby Isaac: Isaac is the most recent addition to the Ebenezer household. We knew about him very early in his birthmother’s pregnancy and we prayed continuously for his safe arrival. He was born on June 13, 2008 and came home to us on June 19. We are legally his foster parents for now, but he has always been our son. He is Nathan and Emma’s full sibling.
